Vacation mode is designed to intelligently use the automated lights in your home to simulate your being home. It is programmed to take into account when you are home, when you are asleep and to follow the sunrise and sunset. By doing so, it takes into account the various latitudes and calculates the correct times to turn the lights on and off. It does all this at the push of a button. I’ve also added a ‘VACATION TEST MODE’ button so you can see the lights turn on and off in a sort of compressed time mode, so you dont have to wait for the lights to change, to see how it works. You can control vacation mode from the Status page.
To setup vacation mode, please visit the S.A.R.A.H. Command center Maintenance page (from within your home network), to configure the vacation mode settings. Make sure you also set some lights to use vacation mode in the SCC Home wizard. Go to the Home wizard page, load your home template and set the ‘Vacation mode(lights only)’ option to ‘YES’. You can use this option for any light or any device that will turn on a light including lights switches, power outlets, etc.
